Job Overview

Häfele UK Ltd seeks an experienced Health and Safety expert to lead our team in promoting a positive safety culture.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial awareness and be able to provide guidance and support to colleagues across the business.

This is a full-time position with core hours of 8:45am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, with on-site presence required four days a week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement H&S improvement projects.
  • Manage the ISO45001 management system standards and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Lead and develop the team, providing guidance and support to all colleagues.
  • Report to the Board and Company, delivering key updates and recommendations.
  • Analyse Health and Safety statistics to inform the Health and Safety strategy.
  • Chair H&S committee meetings and keep stakeholders informed.
Requirements:
  • NEBOSH certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience in successfully managing and developing a team.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to translate guidance into practical actions.
  • Experience in implementing safety improvement projects.
Benefits:

£65,000 per annum, depending on experience; company bonus scheme, healthcare, pension, and additional holidays with length of service, plus excellent learning and development opportunities.
