Job Title: Nurture Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurture Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Beacon View Primary Academy. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of our pupils and contributing to the overall success of our school.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in primary education and a proven ability to work effectively with pupils, teachers, and other support staff. You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, assessing pupil progress, and contributing to the development of school policies and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver lessons to support the national curriculum and contribute to the development of other support staff, pupils, and school policies and strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to assist with the planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources.
  • Cover classes when teachers are absent for any reason, including PPA, sickness, or leadership time.
  • Provide support for pupils, teachers, and the school to raise standards of achievement for all, by utilizing advanced levels of knowledge and skills when assisting with planning, monitoring, assessing, and managing classes.
  • Encourage pupils to become independent learners, provide support for their welfare, and support the inclusion of pupils in all aspects of school life.
Requirements:
  • A minimum qualification of GCSE English & Maths at grade C/4 or above (or Level 2 or above equivalent qualification).
  • Hold the HLTA Qualification or equivalent, with a secure knowledge of primary education and meeting the HLTA standards.
  • Experience of working in a school environment, interacting with parents and families, and a significant interest in the use of nurture to support children who have experienced ACES (training will be provided).
