The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Automotive Design Engineer to join our team at our Silverstone facility. In this role, you will be responsible for providing leadership in mechanical design and processes, guiding senior designers within the mechanical design group, and ensuring the car's performance meets the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of talented mechanical designers.
  • Develop and implement innovative designs for suspension systems and other critical car components.
  • Collaborate with engineers across various disciplines to ensure seamless integration of design solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Champion sustainable manufacturing practices without compromising performance objectives.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in motorsport engineering, with a proven track record in Formula One suspension design.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes, materials science, and analysis techniques.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration across all levels of the organization.
