About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Account Handler to join our team at Howden Insurance Brokers Ltd. As an Insurance Account Handler, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prioritize and handle all work promptly and accurately.
  • Handle all queries, whether written or by telephone, in a professional manner and process effectively in line with service standards.
  • Produce accurate and professional documentation at all times.
  • Process adjustments in line with procedures, including notification to insurers, issue of revised documentation, and collection of additional premiums.
  • Refer all queries that fall outside own experience, knowledge and authority to senior staff.
  • Re-marketing exercises.
  • Issuing renewal documentation.
  • Dealing with client payments in line with Howden procedures.
  • Data input.
  • Participating in meetings as and when required.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of commercial insurance is desirable.
  • Acturis Knowledge is preferred.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good literacy and numeracy.
  • Ability to process work quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Certificate in Insurance (desirable).
