Job Role
Teaching Assistant for students with Social Emotional and Mental Health related difficulties.

Working Pattern
Part-time: 32 hours a week, Monday to Thursday 9am to 4pm, Friday 9am to 2:30pm.

Contract Type
Fixed-term contract for 12 months with the potential to be made permanent.

Pay Scale
H4/1.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning and Support Assistant to join our team at Larwood School. As a Learning and Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Social Emotional and Mental Health related difficulties.

Responsibilities

Support students with Social Emotional and Mental Health related difficulties in a mainstream or Special School environment.

Assist teachers with withdrawal work and one-to-one sessions for pupil progression.

Provide whole-class assistance working with a teacher.

Manage behaviour of individual pupils and classes of pupils - training will be provided.

Develop social skills and maintain a sense of humour in challenging situations.

Requirements

GCSE English and Maths Grade C or above or equivalent qualification.

Ability to remain positive with pupils who may exhibit challenging and demanding behaviour.

Flexibility on a day-to-day basis.
