About the Opportunity

Oasis Community Learning is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to achieve their full potential.

Job Description:

  • Work collaboratively with the classroom teacher and SEN Team to develop and implement individualized support plans for children with SEND needs.
  • Provide emotional and academic support to children, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist teachers and HLTA's in planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on children's progress, ensuring seamless communication with parents and caregivers.
  • Prioritize the safety and well-being of all children, adhering to Oasis Community Learning's safeguarding policies.

Essential Requirements:

  • GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Experience working with children in a secondary school setting, particularly those with SEND needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and grow with the team.

Salary Information:

The estimated annual salary for this role is £28,000 - £32,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
