Senior Financial Analyst Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious professional looking to take their career to the next level.

About the Role

This role will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, conducting variance analysis, and providing insightful commentary on results. You will also periodically review and reconcile balance sheet accounts, prepare and submit overseas direct and indirect tax returns, and conduct commercial appraisals for new and existing business ventures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Analysis: Prepare monthly management accounts in accordance with the periodic timetable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Variance Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of variances and provide actionable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Account Reconciliation: Periodically review and reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit overseas direct and indirect tax returns, liaising with external tax advisors as needed.
  • Commercial Appraisals: Conduct comprehensive appraisals of new and existing business ventures to inform strategic decisions.
Requirements:
  • Certifications: Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA, QBE or equivalent.
  • Manufacturing Experience: Proven experience working in manufacturing, preferably in SMEs.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Sage 200 and Sicon Manufacturing (Sage manufacturing bolt-on), with knowledge of SQL and BI tools.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to present complex financial information effectively.
