We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Social Science educator to join our dynamic faculty on a temporary or permanent basis at Wayman Learning Trust. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the academic success of our students while gaining valuable teaching experience in a supportive and collaborative environment.

About the Position:

  • Develop and deliver engaging and informative Social Science lessons across all year groups, adhering to the National Curriculum and promoting a comprehensive understanding of key social science concepts, theories, and research methods.
  • Cultivate a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that fosters critical thinking, cultural understanding, and academic excellence, guiding students in developing essential skills, knowledge, and values necessary for success in external examinations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Social Sciences department and contribute to school-wide events, promoting a vibrant and inclusive school community that values academic excellence and personal growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Social Science or a closely related subject, with a strong passion for Social Science and a captivating teaching style.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and classroom management within a diverse learning environment, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that challenges and motivates students.
  • Holding a steadfast commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing, with a focus on academic excellence and personal growth.

Salary and Benefits Package:

  • A competitive salary package, estimated at £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
