Commercial Development Executive Job Summary:

C&M Travel Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Development Executive to join our team in Sussex. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing commercial strategies to enhance the performance of our destinations and products. This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise your expertise in contract negotiation, supplier management, and business development to drive revenue growth and improve profitability.

About the Role:
• Identify trends and requirements of school & group travel to source innovative products and services that meet our high standards of quality and safety.
• Negotiate competitive rates and commercial terms for accommodation, transport, and services, ensuring sufficient inventory to meet business needs and driving revenue growth.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
• Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to effectively promote and train on regional products, driving targeted growth and increasing revenue.
• Conduct regular health and safety audits in accordance with guidelines and escalate any issues as appropriate to ensure the well-being of our customers and staff.

Requirements:
• Proven track record in procuring travel products and services, ideally for group travel in Europe. School travel experience preferred but not essential.
• Ability to spot market trends and opportunities for growth and develop strategies to capitalise on them.
• Proficiency in another European language, preferably French, but German or Italian would also be beneficial.
• Strong commercial acumen with sound business sense and ability to work within budgets.
• Exceptional ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively, meeting deadlines and delivering results.
• Expertise in building long-term, trusted relationships with suppliers and negotiating contracts that benefit both parties.
• Clean driving license and ability to drive overseas is essential.

What We Offer:
• Competitive salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
• Hybrid working after an initial onboarding period, the role requires a minimum of 2 days a week in the office with flexibility to be in the office for meetings as required.
• Overseas travel is a requirement of this role.
