About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Engineer to join our expanding Defence Portfolio. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing safety management plans and safety case reports in accordance with MoD Military Standard (Def-Stan 00-056) or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage safety management plans and safety case reports for SEA products.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest safety practices in industry and the MoD, ensuring company awareness is appropriate for our work.
  • Utilise recognised safety methods, technology, and tools to explore all aspects of safety management through the design lifecycle, including hazard identification, risk analysis, and risk control.
  • Liaise with internal and external customers to ensure safety requirements are met, working closely with Engineers from System, Electronic, Software, and Mechanical Engineering.
Requirements
  • Proven experience working in a safety management environment, ideally with an MoD background or experience of working in the MoD domain.
  • Ability to produce clear and concise technical safety documentation.
  • Preferably experience in working with UK MoD ASEMS processes and procedures for safety systems and projects, and familiarity with Def Stan 00-056 Safety Management.
  • SSMO Qualified or similar training would be a bonus.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance and have a full driving licence.
