Job Opportunity: Lead Baby and Pre-School Aquatics Instructor

At GLL, we are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Lead Baby and Pre-School Aquatics Instructor. This is an exciting opportunity to share your passion for teaching young children how to swim and make a positive impact on their lives.

About the Role:

We are looking for someone who can deliver high-quality swimming lessons to babies and pre-schoolers at our Dorking Sports Centre. As a Lead Instructor, you will be responsible for creating a fun and engaging learning environment that promotes water safety and confidence in the water.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver swimming lessons to babies and pre-schoolers using our SWIMBiES programme
  • Plan and prepare engaging lesson plans that cater to different age groups and abilities
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure their needs are met
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming environment during lessons
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new programmes and initiatives

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of one of the following qualifications: STA Level 2 Award in Baby & Pre School Swimming Teacher, Swim England Level 2 Teaching Pre-School Swimming, or STA Level 3 Diploma in Baby & Pre School Swimming Teacher
  • Experience working with babies and toddlers, as well as experience working with parents and guardians
  • A strong understanding of child development and how it relates to baby swimming lessons
  • Knowledge of songs and games suitable for baby swimming lessons
