Job Summary:

This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of patients by providing exceptional care and support as a Healthcare Support Worker. As part of our dedicated team at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, you will work closely with Registered Nurses to deliver high-quality patient care, maintain a safe and clean environment, and undertake administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized care to patients by:
    • Assisting with daily activities such as toileting, catheter care, and fluid balance monitoring.
    • Demonstrating empathy and respect for patients' needs, considering their cultural and social backgrounds.
    • Supporting nursing staff with procedures and investigations, including phlebotomy and ECGs.
    • Recording patient interventions and vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe environment by identifying risks and adhering to infection control policies.
  • Undertake administrative tasks, including preparing patient notes and storing information securely.

Requirements:

  • Vocational healthcare qualification at level 3 or equivalent experience.
  • Essential criteria:
    • Experience working in an acute care environment, undertaking clinical commitments.
  • Desirable criteria:
    • Phlebotomy skills.
    • Effective customer care skills.
