As an Adult A&E Doctor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in our Emergency Department at Arrowe Park Hospital.

The estimated salary for this position is £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience. This figure takes into account the location, job description, and required skills and qualifications.

We are proud of our teaching hospital status and work closely with the University of Liverpool, University of Chester, and Liverpool John Moores University to ensure staff and services reflect the best clinical practice available.

This is a fixed-term contract for six months, with the possibility of extension. The working pattern is full-time or part-time, and we encourage applicants who can commit to a 24-hour middle-tier rota.

The post holder will be expected to independently assess and manage Emergency Department presentations under the supervision of the duty Consultant from 0800 to 0000 and with telephone access to the on-call consultant out of hours.

Main Duties

The main duties of the job include:

  • Working as part of a 24hr middle tier rota in the Emergency Department
  • Independently assessing and managing Emergency Department presentations
  • Communicating effectively with patients and colleagues
