Job Title: Transport Administrator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transport Administrator to join our National Road Planning team based in RAND, Lincolnshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the administrative elements of our transport department are processed in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist with organizing MOTs, servicing, and inspections for our fleet of vehicles
  • Ensure driver inductions, license checks, training records, and vehicle compliance are up to date and in accordance with company and legal requirements
  • Manage vehicle insurance, tax, toll charge systems, and process and manage PCNs, fuel cards, driver contraventions, etc.
  • Maintain and reconcile fuel supplies, internal and external, including fuel card management
  • Route planning for CAT2 special types
  • Ensure department compliance with the purchase ordering and goods received process to ensure accurate cost and utilization data is being managed
  • Assist with maintaining the company's FORS accreditation to silver standard
  • Production of internal and external reports and close monitoring of utilization - key measure
  • Contribute to the success of the Plant and Transport department, supporting other team members as required
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of transport legal requirements
  • Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Good administrative, oral, and written communication skills, along with strong organizational skills for both reactive and proactive work
  • Computer literate with Excel competence essential
  • Good understanding of customer service expectations and excellent telephone manner
