Machine Learning Engineer Intern

At Amazon, we're building the future of entertainment, and we need your expertise to make it happen. As a Machine Learning Engineer Intern, you'll be part of a team that develops industry-leading mechanisms to detect video defects and predict customer perceptions of image and audio quality.

We're looking for a talented individual with a strong background in machine learning and computer vision to join our team. Your primary responsibility will be to develop novel algorithms to assess the presence of defects and overall video quality. This requires the use of the latest technologies across foundational models, transformer-based architectures, masked autoencoders, image processing, image analysis, computer vision, and machine learning.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop detectors consisting of deep computer vision and Machine Learning (ML) techniques.
  • Lead engineers are expected to have a strong understanding of statistics and math, combined with core SDE computer science skills that enable them to dive deep into algorithmic performance.

**Requirements:**

  • Master's degree in Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems.
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
