Job Type: Part-time, Fixed-term

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time Year 4 Teacher to join our team at a local primary school in Christchurch. This is a fixed-term position from January 2025 to July 2025, working alongside a job share. As a Part-Time Year 4 Teacher, you will be responsible for creating engaging and creative lesson plans, building a positive and inclusive learning environment, and collaborating with colleagues and parents to support the well-being and academic achievement of your pupils.Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and Delivering Lessons: Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs of Year 4 pupils, fostering their growth and curiosity.
  • Inclusive Classroom Environment: Establish a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels supported and encouraged to participate.
  • Behaviour Management: Implement effective strategies to manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a focused and respectful learning space.
  • Monitoring Progress: Assess and track students' academic progress, providing valuable feedback to both students and parents.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues and parents to support the well-being and academic achievement of your pupils.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/PGCE): A valid teaching qualification is essential.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with Key Stage 2 students, particularly Year 4, is beneficial (university placements are considered).
  • Knowledge of Primary Curriculum: A solid understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and teaching strategies.
  • SEN Awareness: While not essential, experience supporting pupils with SEN or SEMH needs will be an advantage.
  • Passion and Adaptability: A teacher who is passionate about working with children and can adapt to the varied learning needs of Year 4 pupils.
