We are seeking a skilled Financial Transactions Specialist to join our finance team at DJF Solicitors. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in preparing management accounts and be detail-oriented in handling financial transactions.

The role involves working with the MD and practice manager of Solicitors, with support from the accountant and legal cashiers. Key responsibilities include:

  • Working for a group of solicitors with 5 branches based in Derbyshire and Bristol
  • Working across 5 Xero Instances (one per office)
  • Daily reconciliation of office accounts and purchase ledger
  • Assisting in accounts payable functions by processing invoices, expense claims, and payments
  • Debt collection
  • Engaging clients via phone, email, or letter
  • Escalation and use of internal litigation
  • Approving bank transactions
  • Bi-monthly reporting to FD and MD on Debtors and Creditors
  • Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts
  • Liaising with branches
  • Using Leap and Xero systems

Preferred experience includes working in legal accounts previously, 4 years accounts experience, and IT literacy in Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
