Credit Controller Job Description

Our client, a reputable employer, is seeking a proactive and capable Credit Controller to join their business on a permanent basis. As the Credit Controller, you will take charge of the entire debt collection process, leading regular debtor review meetings with key internal stakeholders and monitoring and managing the accounts receivable ledger, including master data. You will be responsible for monitoring balances to keep debtor days at target or below, resolving customer queries, and being proactive in managing payments. Additionally, you will manage relationships with debt collection agencies, drive internal process adherence to ensure invoicing accuracy, set up new accounts, conduct credit checks, post daily banking transactions, and prompt allocation of cash to debtor accounts. You will also monitor outstanding debt and cash collection and support the finance department with ad-hoc queries.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead regular debtor review meetings with key internal stakeholders
* Monitor and manage the accounts receivable ledger, including master data
* Monitor balances to keep debtor days at target or below

* Manage relationships with debt collection agencies

Requirements:
The successful candidate will need strong, proven credit control experience with the ability to problem solve and prioritize workloads. You will also need good MS Excel skills.
