About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Educational Psychologist to join our team at Wiltshire Council and contribute to improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a sound understanding of legislation and the ability to apply psychology to support inclusion and SEND strategies.

You will work closely with schools, families, and children to promote positive outcomes and develop culturally responsive practice.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To provide specialist advice and support to schools, early years settings, and families.
  • To contribute to the delivery of effective training, supervision, and interventions across various settings.
  • To work collaboratively with other professionals to deliver integrated support tailored to individual needs.
  • To maintain professional knowledge through research and learning from case studies and methodology.
  • To apply group techniques to facilitate change and recognize the importance of this work in local area leadership.

Essential Requirements:

  • Frequent use of private transport required.
  • Ability to work remotely from direct line management.
  • Occasional participation in meetings with anxious participants holding conflicting views.

Annual Salary: £55,000 - £70,000, depending on experience.
