We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team at Homeless Link as a Housing Benefits Specialist. In this role, you will work closely with Support Workers to guide the process of claiming exempt housing benefits for our residents on our Active Opportunity Pathways.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track progress and solve blockers to ensure that payments are made in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to build a system to track individual claims and process payments.
  • Develop a reporting suite that provides clarity on the progress of claims, enabling The Housing Network to have a comprehensive understanding of the overall picture.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of housing benefits and the ability to problem-solve blockers to payments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with Support Workers and the Finance team.
  • Ability to build and maintain a system to track individual claims and process payments.
