Job Summary:

Northern College is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Project Outreach and Engagement Officer for our horticulture provision. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering an Outreach / Student Engagement plan to recruit students to our horticulture offer and promote the college's offer to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an effective Outreach / Student Engagement plan to recruit students to our horticulture provision.
  • Monitor feedback and outcomes from the Outreach / Student Engagement plan, gathering feedback and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of the college's curriculum, particularly our horticulture offer and recruitment priorities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with referral partners to recruit new students and promote the college's offer.
  • Present the college's offer to referral partners and prospective students through formal presentations and informal opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of forming and sustaining effective partnerships with community organizations and statutory bodies.
  • Experience of identifying and addressing potential barriers to accessing education for adults.
  • Working knowledge of support services and referral mechanisms for adults in areas such as employment support, mental health and wellbeing, careers information, advice and guidance.
  • English and Maths at Level 2 or above (grade 4 or above).
  • Evidence of a commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
