We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Gameplay Programmer to join our Total War team at DiverseJobsMatter. As a key member of our code team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing new gameplay features, improving existing ones, and collaborating with the wider development team to push the boundaries of the strategy genre.
Key Responsibilities- Gameplay Programming: Build and maintain well-engineered code with high levels of stability and performance across a codebase consisting of C++ and C#.
- Problem-Solving: Use your experience to solve challenging problems, from designing and building entirely new systems to optimising features to be performant, maintainable and extensible.
- Technical Design: Contribute to technical design in areas such as AI, UI, and gameplay.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with your teammates to encourage and uphold high standards across the team.
- Technical Roadmap: Work with our principal programmers and leads to contribute to the technical roadmap of our future titles.
- Games Industry Experience: Games industry experience with a proven track record in a comparable role.
- Programming Skills: Strong C++ or C# programming skillset, with knowledge of the latest language features.
- Code Quality: Ability to write clean, maintainable, and extensible code.
- Game Development Lifecycle: Experience of a complete game development lifecycle from pre-production, through to post-release support.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills with a desire to collaborate and communicate technical details clearly with other disciplines.
- Passion for Games: Passion and interest in games and game development.
