Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Shift Technician to join our Engineering Team on a permanent basis. As an EC&I Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of engineering systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide around-the-clock engineering support for all EC&I maintenance activities, including preventative maintenance and reactive tasks.
  • Ensure the optimal performance and reliability of electrical and instrumentation systems, which are vital for the seamless functioning of various industrial processes.
  • Provide comprehensive support for all electrical engineering tasks, including the preventative and routine maintenance of plant machinery, three-phase electrical equipment, and PLC/automation systems.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to unscheduled or emergency maintenance situations.
  • Enhance system reliability through regular preventative maintenance inspections.
  • Execute any ad hoc electrical maintenance tasks or projects as required.
Requirements
  • In-depth knowledge of Automation or PLC (Programmable Logic Controller).
  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification, a completed electrical apprenticeship, and experience within as a Shift Engineer, or equivalent role.
  • Understanding of BS 7671 Electrical Regulations.
