About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team in a leading manufacturing firm based in the Knottingley area of Wakefield. This role offers an excellent opportunity for career development and training in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance services across the plant, including repairs and departmental support.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve production targets.
  • Monitor and supply engineering support for machine set-up and changeovers.
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills and be able to work independently when required.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with mechanical or electrical equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

What We Offer

The salary for this position is £53,000 per annum, plus a performance-related annual bonus and overtime at 1.5 times the normal rate. Additionally, you will receive an excellent pension company contribution, premium pay for overtime, and access to an employee benefits package, including a cycle-to-work scheme and potential share options.

Working Hours

48 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with 1 in every 3 weeks involving a Saturday morning shift.
