Job Title: New Build Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a highly experienced New Build Operations Supervisor to oversee and lead a new-build residential project in Oxford. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a reputable construction firm.

About the Role:
This is a hands-on role for a candidate with experience in managing large-scale construction projects, specifically within the residential sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for all on-site activities, ensuring that the project is completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily on-site operations, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and health & safety standards.
  • Manage and coordinate all site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring quality standards are met at every stage of the build.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and proactively implement solutions to mitigate delays or risks.
  • Conduct regular site meetings with the project team and contractors to communicate expectations and project goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations and company policies, particularly in relation to health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
  • Prepare and maintain site records, including daily logs, reports, and timesheets.
  • Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and design teams to resolve any design or technical issues.
  • Manage and control site costs in line with the project budget.

Requirements:
  • A proven track record as a New Build Operations Supervisor on new-build projects, ideally within the residential sector.
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
  • Relevant construction qualifications, such as NVQ Level 6/7 in Construction Management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction regulations, health & safety standards, and quality control measures.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage on-site teams effectively.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A valid CSCS card.
  • NHBC Award.

Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum.
