Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified EMHP to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing psychological interventions in community settings for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CYP-IAPT Principles, including the use of Routine Outcome Measures, and the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and their families. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to observe, listen, and communicate effectively, verbally and non-verbally.

In addition, the successful candidate will be able to assess, plan, and implement care programmes for young people with complex emotional and/or behavioural difficulties. They will also be able to demonstrate skills in assessing and managing people/children and young people experiencing emotional and/or mental health problems.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Educational Health Practice for Children and Young People (EMHP Qualification) or equivalent experience
  • BABCP and/or BPS registered/registerable or working towards registration
  • Training in Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Counselling, or within a Psychological Therapy
