About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Operative to join our team at Burton's Biscuit in Batley. As an Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and safe start-up, operation, and shutdown of process equipment, while producing high-quality products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Rotate between packing, stacking, and inspection tasks to ensure smooth production.
- Pick and place biscuits at speed, pack them into boxes, and stack the boxes onto pallets.
- Work at a reasonable pace and easily read date codes on packets and check seal integrity.
- Contribute to the efficient and safe operation of process equipment.
Requirements
- Experience in a high-speed food manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Ability to work as part of a team and with limited supervision after training.
- Good standards of literacy and numeracy.
- Heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling within site manual handling limits.
