About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Salaried General Practitioner to join our team at Paston Surgery. As a Salaried GP, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical care to our patients, working collaboratively with our team to provide excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver highly effective medical care to our entitled population
  • Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
  • Effective management of long-term conditions
  • Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests, and other associated administrative tasks
  • On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles
  • Accept responsibility for a specialist interest within the organisation, dermatology
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy, and guidance
  • Contribute to the effective management of the organisation, including administration, planning, strategy, BRPs, etc.
  • Identify, implement, and embed best practice through clinical guidelines and the audit process
  • Prepare and complete the revalidation process
  • Contribute to the training of medical students from all clinical disciplines

Requirements

  • Qualified GP and MRCGP
  • General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT)
  • Full GMC registration
  • National Performers List registration
  • Appropriate medical defence indemnity
  • Eligibility to practise in the UK independently
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Effective time management (planning and organising)
  • Ability to work as a team member and autonomously
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to follow clinical policy and procedure
  • Experience with clinical risk management
  • SystmOne user
  • Strong IT skills and competent in the use of MS Office
  • Clear, polite telephone manner
  • Experience with audit and able to lead audit programmes
  • Polite and confident
  • Flexible and cooperative
  • Motivated, forward thinker
  • Problem solver with the ability to process information accurately and effectively, interpreting data as required
  • High levels of integrity and loyalty

  • Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Occupational Health clearance

Desirable

  • Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP
  • Experience of ICB and PCN initiatives
  • Project lead as required with PCN, CQC, ICS/ICB, and QOF
  • Strategic business planning
  • Flexibility to work outside of core office hours
