About Paston Surgery
Paston Surgery is a friendly, busy, and successful medical practice located in North Walsham and the surrounding villages. We are part of the North Norfolk NN2 PCN and provide GMS services to a mixed practice population of around 6,700 patients.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Salaried GP to join our team between 4 and 6 sessions each week. The ideal candidate will be a team player, professional, courteous, and efficient, with excellent people handling skills, enthusiasm, and the ability to work under pressure.
Main Duties of the Job
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering highly effective medical care to the entitled population, generic prescribing, effective management of long-term conditions, and processing administration in a timely manner. They will also undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles on a rotational basis and accept responsibility for a specialist interest within the organisation, dermatology.
Generic Duties
The GP will contribute to the effective management of the organisation, including administration, planning, strategy, and BRPs. They will also identify, implement, and embed best practice through clinical guidelines and the audit process, prepare and complete the revalidation process, and contribute to the training of medical students from all clinical disciplines.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a primary care environment, continued professional development, QOF, and clinical audit. They will be a qualified GP with MRCGP, General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT), full GMC registration, National Performers List registration, and appropriate medical defence indemnity. They will also have excellent communication skills, effective time management, and the ability to work as a team member and autonomously.
