About the Role

Gap Healthcare is seeking an experienced and skilled Registered Manager to lead our dual site operations in Bedford. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of our care services, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management: Oversee the smooth and efficient operation of our care services, ensuring that all aspects of care delivery meet the highest standards.
  • Staff Development: Supervise and manage staff performance, providing guidance and support to foster professional growth and development.
  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct initial assessments and create support plans with clear goals and outcomes for service users, ensuring that their needs and preferences are met.
  • Person-Centered Reviews: Coordinate and lead reviews to ensure that service user needs and preferences are met, and that their care plans are regularly reviewed and updated.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with local multi-disciplinary teams and community-based agencies to deliver comprehensive care and support services.
  • Quality and Safety: Maintain high standards of environmental, safety, and quality within our care services, ensuring that all aspects of care delivery meet the highest standards.
  • Welcoming Atmosphere: Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for service users and staff, promoting a culture of respect and dignity.
  • Engagement: Facilitate service user engagement, involvement, and peer support, ensuring that their voices are heard and valued.
  • Compliance: Stay updated with legislation and ensure that all staff are properly trained and experienced in their roles, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Requirements
  • Experienced Practitioner: Proven background in learning disabilities, with Positive Behaviour Support training and experience.
  • Management Expertise: Demonstrated experience in a management role within care settings, with a proven track record of success.
  • Caring Ethos: A professional and compassionate approach to care, with a commitment to delivering high-quality services.
  • CQC Compliance: Willingness to register with the CQC and adhere to their regulations, ensuring that our care services meet the highest standards.
  • Experience: At least three years of working with individuals with learning disabilities, with a proven track record of success.
  • Relevant Qualifications: Hold a relevant care qualification such as RMN/Dip SW, degree, or NVQ Level 4/5.
  • Collaborative Skills: Ability to work effectively with service users, families, professionals, and colleagues, promoting a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
  • Supervision Experience: Skilled in supervising and supporting staff, with a proven track record of success.
  • Medication Management: Knowledge and skills to ensure safe medication management and administration, ensuring that all aspects of care delivery meet the highest standards.
