Job Summary

As our Carbon Modelling Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering carbon reduction expertise and advisory services to our clients. You will develop complex Excel models to deliver sustainability insights, create reports, and support business development proposals.

  • You will work closely with our team to deliver client projects, attending online meetings and acting as a carbon subject matter expert.
  • You will develop strategic and project-level reports for clients, presenting the outputs of your models and sharing carbon expertise.
  • You will support business development proposals, creating slides featuring example model outputs or supporting the development of proposal documents.
Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing Scope 3 Reduction Forecasts to predict a client's pathway to net zero in 2040.
  • Creating a Circularity Carbon Savings Calculator to help companies reduce their carbon footprint.
  • Analysing epi's library of Product Carbon Footprints to identify key hot spots for different product categories.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of business experience in an area such as consulting, business strategy/insight, data analysis, life cycle assessment, environmental management, or sustainability.
  • Experience in (or strong desire to learn and master) carbon footprinting, Scope 1/2/3 carbon accounting in line with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG), Product Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) using tools such as SimaPro and Ecoinvent.
  • Strong Excel skills with experience of developing complex models, including aspects such as scenarios and sensitivity analysis.
Salary and Benefits

Remuneration is £55,000-£65,000 per annum, negotiable for the right candidate. This is a hybrid role based from your home office, requiring occasional visits within the Midlands/M25 corridor. The majority of our client work is remote via MS Teams.
