JLF Consulting Engineers Ltd is a highly accredited civil and structural design consultancy based in the UK. We work with clients from initial concept through to final construction in various building sectors across the country.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Civil and Structural Engineer to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in a variety of projects across different sectors, with the following key responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement engineering solutions.
  • Utilize your experience to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Prepare structural designs using relevant software or by hand calculation where appropriate.
  • Meet with clients to discuss prospective and current projects.
  • Conduct site visits to carry out relevant visual inspections and measured surveys.
  • Assist with day-to-day management of construction projects being carried out by our affiliated company JLF Developments Ltd.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in a design office environment.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience using relevant design software, preferably Tekla TEDDS and Tekla Structural Designer.
  • Proficient in preparing technical drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Good writing skills and experience using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to communicate technical details effectively.
  • A full driving licence and the ability to travel to site meetings across the UK.
