About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SENCO/Teacher to join our team at Reddish Hall School. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic development of the school's Special Educational Needs (SEN) policy, including oversight of the day-to-day operation of that policy with the aim of raising all students' attainment and achievement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead assessments of pupils with SEN, including their strengths and weaknesses, and develop Individual Education Programs (IEPs) to support their learning.
  • Manage the Literacy and Numeracy Intervention Team, including facilitating regular team meetings and workshops.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure that pupils with SEN receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Monitor and review the Audit of Needs to ensure that the school's SEN policy is effective.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve pupil outcomes and achievement.
Requirements
  • QTS or equivalent qualification with relevant experience.
  • National Award for Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators.
  • Evidence of continuing and recent further professional development and qualifications relevant to the post.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to lead workshops, staff meetings, and INSET.
  • Ability to work with parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
