Job Overview

We are seeking a talented individual to join our 4-year Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer Apprenticeship programme in Bristol. This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in advanced manufacturing engineering, while working with a leading family business.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for performing plant maintenance, conducting failure diagnosis, and maintaining highly automated control systems, mechanical, electrical, and production systems. You will also learn about food and safety legislation.

During your apprenticeship, you can expect:

  • A structured 4-year apprenticeship programme
  • Varied learning through on-the-job training with a mentor and working with our training provider (Midland Group Training Services)
  • An apprenticeship that equips you to become a multiskilled maintenance engineer
  • A varied programme that involves electrical, mechanical, and control engineering
  • Learning to fault find and fix mechanical and electrical components, including making and suggesting improvements

Requirements

To join our apprenticeship programme, you will need:

  • To be 18 years or over by the start of the programme
  • To have achieved 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including a Level 5 or above in maths, a Level 4 or above in English, and a Level 4 or above in either science or ICT
  • To be able to be flexible around work patterns, including shifts, weekends, and evenings (from year 3 onwards)
  • To have passion, drive, and commitment to complete a 4-year apprenticeship with a genuine interest in engineering
Training and Qualifications

You will gain a Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence) and a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge). At the end of your apprenticeship, you will achieve a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering.
