Purpose of the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Manager to join our team at ZEISS. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing our sustainability strategy, ensuring a responsible supply chain, and leading engagement with key stakeholders for sustainability initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy that aligns with corporate and customer sustainability goals.
  2. Ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with sustainability regulations across all countries where our products are available.
  3. Support country launches of Consumer Eyecare products, including regulatory compliance and alignment with sustainability strategy.
  4. Manage external regulatory and technology consultants/partners to supplement internal expertise.
  5. Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to drive sustainability initiatives and improve our environmental footprint.
Requirements:
  1. Proven academics and 3-5 years of experience in a sustainability role with a track record of delivering relevant outcomes.
  2. Experience working with external agencies and suppliers, with a strong analytical mindset and data-focused approach.
  3. Ability to travel globally, with a technical qualification in Sustainability.
  4. An inquisitive mind to stay up-to-date with sustainability initiatives and a strong ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
