About the Role:
Holtec International, a global leader in the energy industry, is seeking a highly skilled I&C Engineer to join its multidisciplinary team designing the next generation nuclear power station. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for authoring and reviewing I&C engineering documents and developing the I&C safety case chapter for submission to the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) for use in the Generic Design Assessment (GDA).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop nuclear safety functional requirements for I&C systems.
- Author I&C system descriptions and platform description documents.
- Author I&C reliability and qualification reports and assessments.
- Support the development of the I&C chapter of the Safety Case for submission in the SMR-160+ GDA.
- Coach and mentor team members to develop technical and personal skills.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to internal and external organizations, including nuclear regulators.
- Defend I&C design positions.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in an engineering or science-related discipline.
- Excellent credentials in principles of power plant digital control design.
- Ability to work independently and balance competing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Eligible to work under 10 CFR Part 810.
Desired Experience:
- Experience with integrated control systems.
- Experience with Human Machine Interface assessments.
- Cyber Risk Assessments.
