Links Medical Centre is committed to providing excellent patient care, and we are seeking a skilled Summarising Officer/Secretary to join our team.

As a Summarising Officer/Secretary, you will be responsible for providing secretarial, clerical, and medical data management support to our multi-disciplinary team.

Key responsibilities include analysing and interpreting electronic discharge summaries, operation notes, discharge summaries, and case-notes, determining the correct diagnoses and surgical procedures relevant to the current period of patient care.

You will also be responsible for allocating codes to diagnoses and procedures, using knowledge of the rules and conventions of READ coding and inputting data to the appropriate computer system.

Additionally, you will create, produce, and maintain searches and reports within the practice clinical system (Vision) to support proactive management and recall of patients on all registers within the practice population.

Other duties will include answering phones, clinical filing, and general administration, as well as providing dedicated administrative support for a specialist service hosted within the medical practice.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills, as well as a sense of humour and a sympathetic approach to the needs of our patient group.
