Automotive Machinist Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Machinist to join our team at a renowned manufacturer of car parts and engine solutions. As an Automotive Machinist, you will be responsible for operating a range of equipment, including CNC Laser welds, water jets, hydraulic presses, and manual machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate robot welders and other equipment to produce high-quality automotive parts
  • Read technical plans and drawings to ensure accurate production
  • Handle products in a way that minimizes waste and damage, adhering to health and safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate records of stock control systems and supporting documentation
  • Program machines to set up and prepare materials for cutting
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of raw materials handled by the site
Requirements:
  • At least 12 months of experience operating machinery (CNC or manual)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced factory environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
