Welfare Benefits and Money Advisor

We are seeking a motivated and confident individual to join our team as a Welfare Benefits and Money Advisor. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer care and financial assistance to our clients.

  • A salary of £31,724 – £35,593 per annum plus a generous annual leave entitlement

What you need to succeed:

  • A proven knowledge and experience of money advice casework
  • Excellent knowledge of welfare benefits policy and regulations
  • Experience of income management in a social housing environment
  • Experience of interviewing clients about their financial circumstances
  • Experience of using and maintaining financial records and IT systems
  • Excellent customer care skills

Desirable qualifications:

  • A certificate in Money Advice or level 2/3 Diploma in Money and Debt Advice or a qualification from the Institute of Money Advice
  • Working knowledge of Housing Benefit and Universal Credit assessment requirements and associated regulations
