About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Financial Customer Support Specialist to join our team at American Express. As a key member of our Consumer Credit department, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional support and guidance during challenging times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide empathetic and personalized support to customers facing financial difficulties, including those experiencing mental/physical health issues, bereavement, or loss of income.
  • Conduct thorough financial assessments and ask insightful questions to offer customers the best possible solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with experienced team members to ensure successful customer outcomes and develop your skills and confidence.
  • Represent the American Express brand with professionalism and integrity, upholding our values and commitment to customer service excellence.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
  • Confidence in taking initiative and making informed decisions, with a strong sense of empathy and understanding.
  • Highly developed telephone manner and ability to discuss sensitive topics with customers.
