About this role

We are seeking a skilled Configuration Engineer to join our Debt Manager Recoveries team in Chester. As a Configuration Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and implementing configuration changes to our Debt Manager Recoveries system, ensuring operational stability, robustness, resilience, and quality.

Key responsibilities

  • Accountable for the design, build, and implementation of configuration changes to our Debt Manager Recoveries system.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert input into systems development, integrations, and architecture.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance, including coaching and mentoring of the team.
  • Participate in the success of the wider Engineering Config Community, ensuring industry standard best practices are adhered and by sharing your knowledge and experiences to help grow capability.
  • Build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives, promoting a culture of collaboration where people can express themselves honestly.

Requirements

  • Experience with the Collections and Recoveries Debt Manager System Release 11.
  • Configure Debt Manager application layers and components.
  • Strong Experience of Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Strong SQL skills to query, analyse and manipulate data.
  • Experience in version control, ideally Git or similar.
