About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Ann House, a Learning Disability and Autism service. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the services facilities are safe and well-maintained, providing a comfortable environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in ensuring the services, buildings, facilities, and equipment requirements are maintained and fit for purpose.
  • Utilize good DIY skills to ensure the safety of residents is maintained.
  • Assist in regular checks and maintenance.
  • Assist in the repair and maintenance of all buildings.
  • Assist in all decorating.
  • Liaise with a manager to report all faults and defects.
  • Participate in a 1-week on-call rota for emergency maintenance.
  • Coordinate and support contractors while on site and complete all paperwork and tool checks.

Requirements

  • Comply with systems and procedures.
  • Have previous experience within a maintenance role.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Show courtesy and respect to residents at all times to ensure they receive the highest quality of service.
  • Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.

About the Team

You will be working alongside a multidisciplinary team to ensure our residents lead good and meaningful everyday lives, with choice and control, accessing mainstream services and facilities, engaging in work and training, leisure opportunities, hobbies, and areas of personal interest.
