Prosecutions and Regulatory Litigation Role:

Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a skilled Prosecutions and Regulatory Litigation Lawyer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for dealing with a range of criminal prosecutions matters on behalf of the Council, including taxi licensing and enforcement, trading standards and fraud matters, and advocacy at court.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prosecute criminal cases on behalf of the Council.
  2. Enforce taxi licensing regulations.
  3. Investigate and prosecute trading standards and fraud cases.
  4. Represent the Council in court.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a background in private practice or the public sector, with experience in criminal prosecutions and regulatory compliance.
