Prosecutions and Regulatory Litigation Lawyer

Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a skilled Prosecutions and Regulatory Litigation Lawyer to join their legal services team on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with a range of criminal prosecutions matters on behalf of Barnsley Council.
  • Taxi licencing and enforcements.
  • Alcohol licencing and licencing appeals.
  • Licencing committees.
  • Trading standards and Fraud matters.
  • Debt recovery.
  • Advocacy at court.

Requirements:

  • We would be extremely interested in hearing from candidates with a private practice or public sector background.
  • We're not expecting candidates to have experience in all of the above, exposure to one or more areas would be desirable.
