**Job Summary**

NRG is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Controller to join our Finance department. As a key member of the Financial Reporting & Governance section, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reports.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Support the monthly closing process, including the preparation of financial statements and presentation to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal accounting and governance policies, including the preparation of statutory accounts.
  • Assist the section manager with technical accounting matters, including the interpretation of accounting standards.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
  • Prepare and submit internal control questionnaires to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

**Requirements**

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with experience in statutory accounts preparation.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, including Pension & Lease accounting.
  • Coordinating internal controls and compliance with SOX requirements.
  • Ability to present data in a clear and structured way for various audiences.
  • Proactive and inquisitive nature, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • SAP proficiency and strong spreadsheet (Excel) and PowerPoint skills.
