Support Worker Role

The Growth Company is recruiting a dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The estimated salary for this role is £32,000 - £40,000 per annum.

In this role, you will work directly with offenders in custody, providing support and guidance through regular one-to-one meetings and group interventions. Your key responsibilities will include assessing participant support needs, creating action plans, and delivering high-quality sessions.

  • You will engage and case-manage eligible participants, establishing rapport and building relationships.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of support needs, developing tailored action plans.
  • Deliver high-quality 1:1 and group sessions, monitoring participant progress and adjusting support accordingly.
  • Foster strong relationships with HMPPS/agencies, ensuring effective collaboration and information sharing.
  • Contribute to the development of new initiatives and projects, promoting offender rehabilitation and reintegration.

About You:

  • You have experience working with offenders or disaffected individuals in training, guidance, advice and counselling environments.
  • You possess a warm, approachable and empathetic style, enabling you to establish rapport and build relationships with participants.

Requirements:

  • You hold relevant qualifications in Information Advice and Guidance, or equivalent.
  • You have knowledge of National Probation Services or HM Prison environments and training, education, and employment opportunities locally and nationally.
