About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Counsellor to join our team at Salvation Army Homes, providing one-to-one talk therapies for individuals who have experienced trauma and complex needs.

As a Counsellor, you will work closely with our residents to help them progress from homelessness to independence, offering a supportive and non-judgmental space for them to share their experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality counselling services to residents with complex needs
  • Work collaboratively with our staff to manage risk and ensure the well-being of our residents
  • Develop and maintain strong, trusting relationships with residents
  • Provide regular supervision and support to residents

About The Candidate

We are looking for a Counsellor who is passionate about supporting vulnerable individuals and has experience working with clients with complex needs.

Requirements:

  • Advanced diploma or degree level in Counselling or a related field
  • 50 hours of counselling experience
  • Ability to work with clients with complex needs
  • Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Certificate
  • Induction and mandatory e-learning completed
