About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Counsellor to join our team at Salvation Army Homes, providing one-to-one talk therapies for individuals with complex needs. As a Counsellor, you will work with residents to help them progress from homelessness to independence, utilizing your expertise to empower them to develop their skills, strengths, and talents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality counselling services to residents with complex needs
  • Work collaboratively with staff to manage risk and ensure the well-being of residents
  • Develop and maintain trusting relationships with residents, promoting a sense of safety and security
  • Stay up-to-date with community resources and organizations that can support our clients, providing signposting and guidance as needed
About The Candidate

We are looking for a Counsellor who possesses the following qualities:

  • Advanced diploma or degree level in Counselling or a related field
  • Minimum 50 hours of counselling experience
  • Ability to demonstrate the core conditions of counselling
  • Experience working with clients with complex needs
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate
