The RoleWe're seeking a skilled Commercial Operations Manager to join our team at Network Rail. As a key member of our operations team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of train services across our network.
Your primary responsibility will be to supervise the train service management within the Wessex Integrated Control Centre, working closely with our Network Delivery Manager to create an engaged and motivated working environment. You'll be responsible for leading the implementation of service recovery principles to restore the network to right-time running as soon as possible.
You'll also be responsible for:
- Working with the Network Delivery Manager to develop a culture that supports and encourages the development and improvement of Train Service Management.
- Leading the implementation of service recovery principles to restore the network to right-time running as soon as possible.
- Ensuring excellent communications skills and good operational experience.
- Able to influence others and work under pressure.
- Having a thorough understanding of train planning principles and timetable composition.
- Good geographical knowledge of applicable route and wider network.
