Data/Exams Officer Role
GSL Education are seeking an experienced Data/Examinations Officer to join their team in Birmingham.
Main Responsibilities:
- The officer will be responsible for the organisation and smooth running of both internal and external examinations, acting as the primary liaison between the school and external examination bodies.
- They will be familiar with the requirements and regulations placed on schools by both awarding bodies and the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ), and will ensure that the school is compliant with these before, during, and after examination periods.
- The officer will liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including students, parents, Heads of Departments, Heads of Years, teachers, reception staff, site staff, IT staff and awarding organisations.
- They will be responsible for managing invigilators, training new invigilators, and updating existing invigilators on rules and regulation changes.
- The officer will also manage the examination entry process, including gathering information from teaching staff to ensure that students' examination entries are made correctly and on time, making amendments/withdrawals etc.
- Other responsibilities include managing the examination preparation process, supporting access arrangements, managing examination days, contingency planning, and managing examination results.
Requirements:
- An Enhanced DBS Child and Adult Check is required, with the requirement to be on the update service.
- Two professional references are necessary to clear the candidate's file with GSL Education.
